Preparation
If you are wondering about what a photoshoot involves you are in the right place.
A photoshoot usually takes 45 - 90mins, any longer than that and the dog starts to get tired and less enthusiastic, so it is important for me to get a range of great images as quickly as I can.
Locations are usually somewhere beautiful that the dog is familiar with, I do prefer locations where lots of other dog are NOT around as this can be very distracting to some dogs and make it difficult to keep their attention.
I always aim to photograph early in the morning or late in the afternoon when the sun is low to get great colours and avoid harsh shadows.
If your dog is not one to follow commands, I have some technics that enable me to still get amazing shots, So if you think you have a difficult dog, I love a challenge.
Preparing your dog is just a basic clean and get naked! As fashionable as a lot of harnesses are these days I think you can't improve on a dogs natural coat so my advise is Naked all the way.LOL
